Meet Dr Charles Daniels, nib Dental Care Wollongong’s Specialist Orthodontist
Dr Daniels qualified as an orthodontist in 1999 and has worked as a specialist orthodontist full time since then. His basic dental training and specialist orthodontic qualifications were obtained in the UK over a period of 12 years. During his broad experience in university and hospital settings, he won 3 UK national prizes for orthodontic treatment results, research and clinical knowledge.
He came to Australia in 2003 and has worked in locations in Sydney, Paramatta, Wagga Wagga, Canberra and Wollongong. He established his own practice in North Sydney in 2006 and continues to maintain his commitment to Pacific Smiles Dental and nib Dental Care through his locations in Wollongong and Wagga Wagga. Dr Daniels is the longest serving team member of nib Dental Care in Wollongong starting work in the centre shortly after it opened in 2006.
Dr Daniels takes pride in keeping his practices at the forefront of orthodontic advances offering regular braces together with invisible braces and Invisalign. He takes on cases of all ages and will offer early intervention for younger patients if necessary. He is adept at complex cases and is comfortable treatment planning cases involving jaw surgery and advanced restorations. He is a fully registered specialist and can offer orthodontic care within the scope of the cleft palate scheme.
He enjoys his position at nib Dental because of the close working relationships with his dental colleagues and fantastic supporting staff, as well as the wonderful patients.
Outside of work he has competed in a number of running events including the City to Surf and was at one time a surf life-saving volunteer at Tamarama beach and member of the veterans surfboat rowing team. He now enjoys cycling, sailing and climbing. He has a small family in Australia and a big family in the UK.
