The Child Dental Benefit Schedule
The Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS) provides eligible children with access to a government benefit of $1095* for select dental services.
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule is means tested, which requires Family Tax Benefit A or a relevant Australian Government payment.
Who is eligible for the CDBS?
Your child is eligible when the following criteria is also met:
- They are eligible for Medicare
- They are under 18 years of age
- Either you or your child receive an eligible Australian Government payment at least once that year.
What does the CDBS include?
Benefits can not be used for any of the following services: orthodontics, cosmetic dental work or any services provided in a hospital.
*Free when services covered by the Australian Government’s Child Dental Benefits Schedule are bulk billed by participating Practitioners for treatments provided to eligible patients.
